January 8, 2015 – Beaumont Capital Management (BCM), known for its quantitative, ETF-based investment strategies, just announced their new retirement products. BCM’s Qualified Default Investment Alternative (QDIA) portfolios are designed to provide participation in strong markets and asset protection during market downturns, while offering appropriate diversification and risk levels for each age bracket. The products are currently available on Mid Atlantic Trust Company’s retirement platform, ModelxChange®, and BCM is in active discussions with several additional investment retirement platforms.
“Americans are increasingly looking for investment solutions that reflect their personal goals and risk tolerance as they enter each stage of life,” said Dave Haviland, a Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager, Beaumont Capital Management. “Our age-based portfolios are created to align with the needs of individual investors beginning when they enter the workforce and ultimately culminating in a portfolio designed to generate income after they have left the workforce. At the same time, our QDIA portfolios offer investors diversification, while also seeking downside protection when markets enter difficult periods.”
The QDIA product is offered in the following models: balanced growth, conservative growth, moderate growth, growth, and aggressive growth. In addition to the new QDIAs, BCM offers a variety of other ETF-based investment portfolios. The growing popularity of the firm’s ETF portfolios is due in part to their naturally defensive nature, which appeals to investors given the long run of the existing bull market and their fear of another market downturn.”
“We’re pleased to have the opportunity to add BCM’s QDIAs to our platform,” said Timothy Friday, president of Mid Atlantic Trust Company. “When selecting asset managers, we look for partners that can help us deliver cost-effective, fee-transparent solutions that appeal to a range of investors from high-net-worth, to middle-market, to institutions. Through our five-year relationship with Beaumont, we have found their solutions to be a strong fit for our platform.”
